Our Story
Katalina and Chase first met in college at Full Sail University. Katalina pulled into her apartment building, saw a big red truck and, without ever meeting him, immediately knew her roommate's Montana friend was there. Chase walked in Katalina's room liked he owned it, offered to build her IKEA furniture, and it took off from there.

From Florida, they moved to Missouri where they lived in their first apartment together. They learned new things about their relationship and decided they still loved each other through it all.

Chase proposed two and a half years later in Montana by going on a beautiful picnic that they had been planning for over a year. Needless to say, Katalina said yes. (She'd only been waiting impatiently since they met, after all.)

We can't wait to celebrate with you at our wedding in October of 2024!

Getting Here
Transportation
Since our wedding will take place on Vashon Island, you'll need to pay close attention to the ferry schedule and purchase a ticket to cross. (You may find more information in the FAQ, "How does the ferry work?") While there will not be a transportation service, the drive to the island and venue is a beautiful and easy one. We appreciate each and every one of you willing to celebrate our special day with us!
Accommodation
We know that some of you will be traveling from far away to join us. We recommend staying in Tacoma, WA as it's close to the ferry and provides more opportunity to lodging if you don't wish to stay on the island. Here are some of the recommended lodging on, or close to, Vashon:
Location: Tacoma - Hotel Murano
(Link in FAQ for 15% off when you book Hotel Murano)
Location: Vashon - The Lodges on Vashon
Location: Varies - Airbnb

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is business: slacks, button-ups, blouses, skirts, and dresses. If you would like to wear a color that matches, the theme is burgundy, forest green, burnt orange, and neutrals. Our wedding will be held outside so we do recommend wearing shoes that are good for grassy and wooded areas.
Is there a reserved hotel block?
While there isn't a specific set of rooms blocked for guests, you may click the link below to book your stay at Hotel Murano for 15% off.

How does the ferry work?
The ferry is easy to board and a relatively quick process, only taking about 15 minutes to get across to Vashon Island. We suggest taking Pt. Defiance to Tahlequah as it's the closest to the venue and the most reliable ferry. Regardless of which ferry you take, please pay close attention to the ferry schedule if you are not staying on the island.

You may purchase your ferry ticket up to 90 days in advance or purchase it directly at the docks. The current price is $27.25 for the driver and vehicle and $6.25 for each additional passenger. Carpooling will help to save money on ferry tickets and parking at the venue. The schedule and where to buy tickets are both linked below.

Will there be an open bar?
We will have an open bar serving a selection of beer and wine. While there is no limit to drinks, please don't go overboard. We'd like you to enjoy the night and remember it.
Can I bring my kids?
Due to the environment of the venue, we respectfully ask that you leave your children at home and make this a date night for you and your spouse.
Can I bring my gift to the wedding?
If you'd like to bring it to the wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
What will the weather be like?
Of course, we can't guarantee anything, but October tends to be the drier season. Keep an eye on the weather in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We will have tents to provide coverage during the reception, but you may want to pack an umbrella.
How do I RSVP?
We ask that you RSVP by September 5th, 2024 through the card you received in your invitation.
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
We have no problem with you arriving 20-30 minutes early, but we ask that you stay in the ceremony area. With our wedding being on an island, we ask that you plan accordingly and pay close attention to the ferry schedule. More information can be found in the FAQ, "How does the ferry work?"
Is there parking available at the wedding?
There is a small parking lot available. If you can carpool with someone, we ask that you do so to save on space.
